This month we wanted to share with you our top 10 sites for colour inspiration. Colour is everywhere we go, with the amount of inspiration limitless. Although not an easy task, we have managed to narrow down our top 10 sites including social media, blogs and paint colour inspiration sites that offer you new sources of inspiration. Whether it be for an assignment, a project you’re working on for yourself, or a client, or just for pure inspiration to add to your collection; these sites will wow you with your new favourite hues and ideas.
In no particular order, here are our top 10 sites for your daily colour inspiration…
DesignSeeds.com | A blog for all colour enthusiasts
Calling all colour palette and combination enthusiasts! DesignSeeds.com is a must-visit site for your daily dose of colour inspiration. Jessica Colaluca started this creative community in 2009. Her inspiration was the potential she saw in the emerging online creative community and the voice that social media offered. Over the years, this blog has evolved into an international community, offering hundreds of hand-curated colour palettes. Navigate through the site and read the ‘Blog‘ which is where you will find a limitless amount of colour inspiration. If you’re looking for inspiration to explore a particular palette, click on the ‘By Colour‘ tab to select a certain swatch and explore the possibilities of a particular colour.
In preparation for Spring, we took a sneak peek at the ‘blush’ swatch and we were amazed by the floral and heavenly hues and the soft pastel combinations for each palette!
Plenty of Colour | A design blog to celebrate all things colourful
Blogger Chloe Douglas started Plenty Of Colour to celebrate colour with those who share a similar enthusiasm and wonder. She shares her visual journey with her viewers through pulling together pictures of everyday items in vibrant hues to create eccentric colour schemes to suit your taste. Be inspired by the simplicity of the blog, yet captivating colour consumed images which take you on a journey of the hundreds of hues available.
House of Turquoise | A site where inspiration starts with one colour
For inspiration on how to work with one colour and create an entire room without overdoing it, Houseofturquoise.com is the site to visit. Erin Moser started the House of Turquoise in 2007. She began sharing her obsession with the colour through her collection of inspirational photos of rooms that feature turquoise, showing how you can in fact use one colour to create an entire room in a sleek, sophisticated way. Her site is much more than just all things turquoise, it is a great colour inspiration hotspot, showing how to use one colour subtly throughout the paint and products used in a room. If you love turquoise or aqua, want to know how to create a calming room through the use of these hues or love beach-inspired interiors, then House of Turquoise is the perfect design site for you.

Concepts & Colorways is an inspirational colour blog founded by interior designer, Bobbi Edwards. Be inspired by how this blog exemplifies the idea that colour is a powerful design tool and explore how colour is used in all walks of life. Bobbi created the blog in hopes of sharing colour ideas with all those who use it, whether it be for interiors, textiles, styling, graphic arts, architecture, photography etc. This is a blog completely dedicated to all things colour! Julia Green from Green House Interiors is an experienced stylist for both homes and commercial spaces and a writer; a household name in the world of interior styling. Her Instagram holds a plethora of colour inspiration for any project. We love the mix of colour inspiration Julia uses throughout her images, whether it be through the use of colour in her interior design, styling, paint colours, artwork or her re-posts of colour inspiration from others!

Pinterest | Using social media for visual bookmarking
Looking for colour inspiration, latest trends, forecasts or ideas? With access to over 100 million users sharing images, Pinterest is the social media platform to check out and to capture inspiration on-the-go. You have the ability to browse the thousands of boards and millions of pins, with all your favourite brands, retailers, and paint companies in one place. You can also inspire others with your ideas by showcasing and sharing your own work with other users.
Pinterest is also great to use as a mood board or clipboard for your own projects. Visual bookmarking will ensure that you have an endless amount of colour inspiration.
